Cowspiracy Poster HiRes

No, this is not a movie that shows masses of cows being slaughtered. It is a movie about how our diets are contributing to climate change.

Many months ago, Sister Eden featured bloggers the dirty hippie and the bohemian girl told us about the film Cowspiracy  and asked us to support it’s Indiegogo campaign. We watched the film’s trailer and, without blinking an eye, immediately signed on to support it. Months later, we received our very own DVD and watched the film in its entirety. Wow! We felt honored to have supported its crowd funding campaign.

Have you ever watched a film and declared “Everybody needs to see this!”? That is how we feel and that is why we are hosting a screening of Cowspiracy: The Sustainability Secret through Tugg.com. The details are below. Tell your friends and family and bring them to see this important film!

*Brief introduction by Lori Hill and John Robinette of Sister Eden, followed by the 90-minute movie and a 20-minute discussion.

This Movie Is Not Filled with Scenes of Animal Cruelty!

If you are concerned that this film is filled with scenes of cows and other animals being slaughtered, have no fear! While there is one brief scene with a duck being butchered (during which I closed my eyes), there are no other scary scenes with animals.

Don’t Live in the Baltimore-Washington, DC Area?

If you don’t live in the Baltimore-Washington, DC area, you can still see the film! Visit the Cowspiracy web site to find a screening near you!

More About the Film

Cowspiracy: The Sustainability Secret is a groundbreaking feature-length environmental documentary following an intrepid filmmaker as he uncovers the most destructive industry facing the planet today – and investigates why the world’s leading environmental organizations are too afraid to talk about it. As eye-opening as Blackfish and as inspiring as An Inconvenient Truth, this shocking yet humorous documentary reveals the absolutely devastating environmental impact large-scale factory farming has on our planet.

We’d love to see you in the audience, and we really appreciate your helping us spread the word. Tell your friends and family and have them join us for this special one-time screening of Cowspiracy!
