Recycling Made Easy: Two Cans in Every Room

Trash and Recycling

Does it drive you nutty when you see recyclables in a trash can even though the recycling bin is a few steps away? Sometimes folks just don’t feel like walking the extra steps. So make your home life easier. Place two waste cans in each room. One for recycling and one for landfill waste. Label them so that visitors will know the difference.

Containers can match or be very different. In our office, we have a big, wicker basket for paper and a teeny, tiny container for landfill waste. Your containers don’t need to match or be fancy. They just need to get the job done!

I’d love to hear how you tackle this issue. Share your comments below!
